Summer on the Gerlitzen Alpe means: relaxing and experiencing — with 147 km of well-marked hiking trails, gentle walks as well as challenging mountain tours in the heart of Carinthia. In just about 30 minutes, the cable car takes you from the valley station at Lake Ossiach directly to the summit (1,911 m) - where a breathtaking 360° panorama over mountains and lakes awaits you.
In just about 10–15 minutes, the Kanzelbahn cable car takes you from the valley station at Lake Ossiach directly to the Kanzelhöhe adventure area. There you’ll find a variety of leisure highlights: summer tubing, a children’s bike park, a forest high-rope course, a wooden marble run, mini electric slope racers, and much more provide fun for both young and old. Family-friendly walks, relaxed circular hikes, and challenging mountain trails make hikers’ hearts beat faster. From Kanzelhöhe, the nostalgia lifts Moserbahn and Pöllingerbahn take you up to the Pöllingerhütte. From there, it’s about a comfortable 45-minute walk to the 1,911-meter-high Gerlitzen summit, where you can enjoy a breathtaking 360° panoramic view of mountains and lakes.
Culinarily, our cosy mountain huts invite you to enjoy regional specialities and homemade dishes — preferably with a view of the sun terrace and the panoramic scenery.
